Well, it's that time of year again, folks. It's time to think about what to get the people on your Christmas list. Even if you don't celebrate Christmas, it's a great time to get a gift for friends or family. But what do you get an author? I was wondering just that and I could just list things that I would want like an idea starter, a journal, or something along those lines.
I wondered if Amazon has any ideas. Where would I find them? So, me being me I decided to do a regular search on Amazon. I've been told that it is a search engine. So, I searched 'gifts for authors and writers.' It seems that Amazon has a lot of ideas and this is just some of what I found.
Character Development Journal: Everything you need to create characters your readers will love! In this, you'll find places to develop your character's characteristics, his or her family background, personal history, character arc, and more. I found this here.
Here's another gift idea I got a kick out of. It's a t-shirt and on the front of it is says, "I Am A Writer, Anything you say may be used in one of my stories." I think that's cute! This picture is a short-sleeved shirt. I don't know if it comes in long-sleeved or not, but you can check it out here.
I thought this was cute, too. It's a retro-looking typewriter/pencil holder for your desk. You can see this here.
I just loved this one! Well, I like my mugs. Here's one for the writer at a hefty 15 ounces. It holds both hot and cold drinks.
Here's one to help the writer on your list to conquer writer's block. It's a book called, "The Writer's Block: 786 Ideas to Jump-Start Your Imagination." You'll find it here.
Here's another that might help with writer's block. "The Writer's Toolbox: Games and exercises for inspiring the 'write' side of your brain." You'll find it here.
We can't forget that special pen for book signings! You'll find several different kinds on this page. From classy to humorous ones!
These are just a few ideas I've found. Do you have suggestions? Let me know in the comments!
