It's really raining out there. It's like the sky's opened up. Really, the weather fits the mood I'm in after receiving the news that I just received.
Last week I told you guys that I was taking part in a book promo today. Well, due to reasons out of my control, there won't be any discounted price for 'Where Can We Have The Party?' today. I won't say ever since I'm going to set up a give-away, but today I have no idea when this is going to happen.
Here's what happened. At the end of September when my book promotion group was preparing for this, I called Amazon to see about lowering the price, just for today. They told me to talk to CreateSpace; they handle that. So, I did.
The customer rep was very friendly and when I told her what I wanted she said, "No problem!" She then proceeded to tell me how to do this. She said to lower the price on October 6th since it takes five days for Amazon's price to change.
Last Friday (the 6th) came and I lowered the price for you. Well, today came, I checked Amazon expecting to see the deeply discounted price, but no ... So, I did what any disappointed-so-bad-they-feel-sick person would do. I called CreateSpace to see why the price didn't change. I told the rep the whole conversation I had with the rep in September. She spent a lot of time checking into my records, on my behalf. Then, she came back on the phone and told me that I couldn't lower it below the list price which is $9.30. She said the other customer rep gave me the wrong information.
I truly apologise for today's mess. In fact, I feel sick about it. I was really looking forward to this today!
Like I said before, I am going to have a give-away on Facebook. Nothing can go wrong with that since it won't involve any other companies. So, stay tuned!
