There are big changes in store for us who have newsletters. The change is DMARC. Those wonderful days of using your free (gmail, yahoo, outlook, etc.) email are gone thanks to the scammers and spammers out there. This change affects ALL NEWSLETTER HOSTS like Mailchimp, MailerLite, ConvertKit, etc.
What brought my attention to it in the first place was a letter from reedsy.com. You can read that letter here.
We have to buy our new email address. That’s right. I said buy your email. At first, I thought buying a new email was going to be an expensive proposition since the first places I checked for an address was GoDaddy.com and my own webhost, Weebly.com. I did find a cheap, but a good one at Ionos. Their plans start out at $1.00 a day! How do I know they’re good? I googled them and found they’re listed in the top-ten email providers.
I’ve been emailing with my friend, Dayna Ault, about DMARC since doing this yourself is next to impossible! You can take that to the bank. I've tried. Dayna found a great fix and I’ll share her information with you here. Here’s what she says:
“Judy Benedict with Giraffeweb.net knows exactly how to make your email DMARC compliant. She had mine done in about one hour. If you are looking for some help in this area, I highly recommend Judy. You can find her at [email protected]. Give her the coupon code: 1DMARC20 to get 20% off her services!”
