Alexander Bopp moved to a new house in Stermont. He didn’t want to because it would mean going to a new school and making new friends, but what can you do except do it? The day after Alexander moved, he and Dad stopped at a restaurant that served breakfast. In front of the restaurant was a balloon goon!
What’s a balloon goon you ask? Are there ballon goons? There might be and there might not be.
When Alexander and Dad come out of the restaurant, the tires are flat. “You’ll have to walk to school by yourself, Alexander,” says Dad. He has the perfect solution for Alexander to do it. A placemat from the restaurant with a map of Stermont on it! There’s one problem. This map is outdated and it leads Alexander to the old school which is being torn down. In the rubble, Alexander finds a notebook which is titled, THE NOTEBOOK OF DOOM. This leaves a strange feeling in his stomach, but he puts it in his backpack anyway.
When Alexander gets to his new school, he has to stand up and introduce himself while he’s all dusty and dirty from the rubble of the old school. Then he meets a really mean bully named Rip.
I’m not going to tell you the whole story here, but your child will just love this easy-to-read chapter book! It shows your child that even bullies can be your friend. This fast paced and imaginative book is the first in the Notebook of Doom series. If you want to purchase this for your little monster, you can buy it at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
