Even though some of the animals there tease him about looking different, he meets some that don’t. He learns that these new friends are different in some ways, too. Also, they’re looking at the real him and not how he looks.
In today’s mixed-up world, we need a book like this that tells us that it’s okay to be different and Lainey Dee gives us that book beautifully. Not only is this a well-written story, but the illustrations by Dhiraj Navlakhi are brilliantly done in bright colors!
